A landmark public house in Clerkenwell since 1790, The Coach is brought to life this January through an exciting collaboration between chef Henry Harris (formerly of Racine) and James McCulloch (The Harcourt, Three Cranes).
Henry’s signature blend of French and British cuisine is celebrated in a menu that spans from breakfast through to lunch, dinner and bar snacks. Guests can enjoy an expansive bar and garden, with more formal dining rooms on the ground and first floors.
The pub’s renovation pays tribute to its Dickensian heritage as well as the neighbourhood’s reputation as a creative hub. Floor to ceiling glass floods the space with light, while the “bear garden” – so called because it was once used for animal fights – is now festooned with lights and arched mirrors covered by ivy and shrubbery.
