Railway arches dating from the Victorian era are being redeveloped to form part of Hackney Walk – the UK’s first luxury fashion outlet district. London’s luxury shopping experience is being transformed, not just due to significant discounts on all items, but thanks to being situated in one of the capital’s most vibrant and bohemian districts.

Hackney has fashion design in its DNA with a tradition of being London’s hotbed for luminaries. A Burberry outlet store already flourishes in the area, alongside Hackney Walk’s nucleus of highly desired brands including Anya Hindmarch, Aquascutum, Bally, and Pringle.

Stores present in the the striking arches housed within a colossal viaduct include: Colombo; Folli Follie; Gieves & Hawkes; Joseph; MATCHESFASHION.COM; Nicole Farhi; Present; Zadig & Voltaire and UGG. And flanking the arches are two huge units, one of which is occupied by Nike.

The shopping experience contrasts with the more sanitised experience typically offered by designer outlet centres, thanks to the gritty, and pulsating nature of the area complemented by the arches architecture designed by David Adjaye.

And don’t just expect the more established brands - Hackney Walk will also be populated by an increasing amount of emerging designers. Food courtesy of some of Britain’s finest artisans, creative pop-ups, and unexpected fashion flourishes will appear on an ongoing basis.
