The World’s 12 Most Fashionable Cities In One Trip In The Best Fashion – On A2B e-Bikes

VeryFirstTo exclusively presents the ultimate trip for the fashion-conscious, with the pioneer of electric bicycles, A2B.

In celebration of the launch of the German-made Obree and Orsted models, A2B is offering you the opportunity to experience the world’s 12 most fashionable cities in one trip, using the most in-vogue and environmentally friendly transport: the e-bike. You will not only be coasting around each city on these catwalk-status bikes, but have the benefit of a local guide to show you the very best of each city. The bicycles will be kept at the end of the tour.

Research conducted by VeryFirstTo on behalf of A2B reveals that Paris, followed by New York, Milan, London, Barcelona and Rome, are the most fashionable cities in the world. For the survey ranking, participants were asked which is the world’s most fashionable city in terms of: shopping; eating/drinking; culture; entertainment; and nightlife. It is no surprise that Paris, home of Louboutin, the Louvre and over 70 Michelin starred restaurants won the accolade. On the trip, you will explore Paris on your e-bikes travelling from the artistic district of Le Marais through the uber fashion areas of Avenue Montaigne, Beauborg and Rue St Honoré. Pre-dinner drinks at the upscale bar in the Hôtel Costes are on the agenda, and dinnner at the incomparable Alain Ducasse.

Highlights of the month-long trip also include experiencing fashionable restaurants, clubs and galleries across the globe. These include a stay at the W hotel in Barcelona, a visit to the famous Picasso Museum and exploring the Passeig de Gràcia, one of the finest shopping streets in the world. In London you can rest your hats at the newly opened Rosewood Hotel, have dinner at the newly refurbished Le Gavroche and finish the night with a cocktail at the Connaught Bar.  Milan will see you enjoy a designer-led experience from staying at the Armani Hotel, dining at Dolce & Gabbana Gold and partying the night away at the Cavalli Club.

Stateside highlights include staying at the Loews Regency in New York, dining at the Michelin starred Blue Fin and post dinner drinks and dancing at the VIP Room. During the day you will visit the Guggenheim and one of the world’s largest and finest galleries, the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Across the country in L.A. take a ride along the infamous Mulholland Drive, and explore the ever-trendy Venice Beach. You will dine at Chateau Marmont and the infamous Mr Chow, after dinner it will be off to Teddy’s or Couture to party with the starlets – then to bed at the Hotel Bel-Air. The trip is organised by Colletts Travel, renowned for its professional service and personal touch.

The two award-winning, newly launching e-bikes, the Obree and Orsted, have a host of benefits which include: recharging whilst cycling using regenerative pedaling and breaking; top travel range of up to 80m/130km; five levels of assist which is pretty new to the electric bike market; and a top speed and legal limit of 15.5mph/25kmh in Europe, 20mph/32kmh outside Europe. Both bikes are also German designed and made. The quality and the design contribute to the incredible feeling of riding these design-led machines. This trip will truly allow one to really experience every facet of exploring a fashionable city with ease.

The Obree – a 2014 International Designs of the Year Award nominee and top ranking entrant in ExtraEnergy’s 2014 LEV lifestyle category – possesses a fashion-forward design with a lower centre of gravity and smaller wheels to make it strong yet agile.  The Orsted, ranked second in the 2014 ExtraEnergy LEV lifestyle category, has a more traditional bicycle look and feel and larger wheels for a smooth yet powerful ride.

With both e-bikes sporting revolutionary propulsion systems for increased range alongside pioneering designs, they do their namesakes proud: for the Obree, the radical bicycle innovator Graeme ‘the Flying scotsman’ Obree, and the Orsted, Hans Christian Orsted, the discoverer of electromagnetism, a major step toward a unified concept of energy.

A2B

From the very start A2B followed its passion for redefining the journey. In 2008, it boasts to have changed the electric bike market forever with the world’s first true e-bike, with its own bespoke internal motor system.

But simply starting an engineering revolution wasn’t enough. A2B wanted its collection to have its own, distinct identity, and not simply look like bicycles with batteries added. So its German design team created an entire range of ebikes that ride as beautifully as they look.

A2B has subsidiaries in the UK, USA and Germany and is present in 35 countries through its network of distributors in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. It has outlets in 11 of the top 12 cities, with one in Istanbul soon to open. To learn more, please visit the A2B website: weareA2B.com
